Cody Rhodes feels that his journey as ‘The American Nightmare’, which goes back to 2016, went through several phases. Now, standing in the present situation, Rhodes believes he’s at his highest form. While he’s still yearning to clinch the WWE World Championship honor, a great amount of confidence and satisfaction oozed out from his tone after the latest victory.

During the post-SummerSlam press meet, Rhodes addressed his evolution and future plan, saying, ‘‘I just want to continue to go down that road and I think I found, say this I could be completely wrong, I think I found my final form and it took me a while. Some folks get it right out the gate. They know who they’re supposed to be, and that’s special. I don’t begrudge them.”

”Me, (I’m a) slow learner and I think I found my final form, so it’s really just polishing up the best of the American Kingdom. I see the speed of the game. I see what’s happening and see where the puff is going ”, he added.

Now, where is his final form leading him? Let’s take a sneak peek at some potential post-SummerSlam directions for the 38-year-old marquee superstar.

Will Cody Rhodes move to SmackDown to chase his ultimate dream?

Rhodes made ‘The Beast Incarnate’ pay for letting him down against Roman Reigns at Raw after WrestleMania, handing him a rare clean loss at their third and final clash tonight. Capitalizing on this victory momentum, the 38-year-old is probably bracing himself for his next big challenge. But who will be on the opposite end of the ring?

There is an array of potential contenders who might target ‘The American Nightmare’ anytime soon. But after defeating ‘The Beast’, there are very few things left for Rhodes to chase except the coveted WWE World Championship belt, his ultimate dream.

But prior to that, Rhodes might be propelled to get his hands on Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title as well.

But that won’t finish his story, nonetheless. So, switching brands to confront Roman Reigns looks most viable at this point in time.
