A screenshot of her last tweet was posted on X by a wrestling fan on December 10th. The tweet by the former WWE superstar read, “I think I’m about done on this particular platform [X]. It’s too crazy. Disagreeing is one thing. Threatening my family, name calling, agism, racism, family planning shaming, religious prejudice, and sexism is all too much. I will keep my Instagram. But it’s about time to move on from the negativity.

As per the tweet, understandably, Kanellis seemed to be cyberbullied off the platform for her views. Disturbed by the comments she deleted her X account though her Instagram account remains  intact. But what pushed Maria Kanellis to call out the fans who once supported her through her surgery?

It looks like the whole fiasco started with a tweet from fellow AEW wrestler Mark Briscoe’s post when he called out the WWE on FOX account for the usage of the term ‘DEM BOYZ’. It was used by WWE to refer to the team of Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. The account even tagged Triple H for help on the matter.

Briscoe explained that he was mourning the loss of his brother hence the outrage, especially as the two, as The Briscoe Brothers, were referred to by the same term, which led to the outrage. But Maria Kanellis responded immediately on the matter which led to more controversy. In support of Briscoe, Kanellis called out the account for the tweet as well, while emphasizing the significance of the term’s association with Briscoe. She even shared a poignant memory from her wrestling days.

But some netizens didn’t take her response kindly, leading to several threatening her and criticizing her family and life choices. Though, Kanellis tried her best to explain the situation it was futile.
