American rapper Killer Mike was arrested shortly after receiving three Grammy awards at the 66th edition of the prestigious music awards. In a video that has been doing the rounds on the internet, several police officers handcuffed the artist for an alleged physical altercation. Nevertheless, you might be surprised to know that the rapper recently met Cody Rhodes and claimed that he too will “finish his story” at the Grammys. And while he did finish his story, destiny seems to still have hardships for the two stars.

When Cody Rhodes and Killer Mike shared the frame

Killer Mike attended the January 19 episode of WWE SmackDown when he linked up with Cody Rhodes after the show. The two clicked a photograph with the former holding a sign reading, “We finish our story. Feb. 4.” This was a reference to the day of the Grammys. Killer Mike earned a nomination for three Grammys, and he won all three of them. The Grammy for Best Rap Performance for “Scientists & Engineers,” alongside Andre 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane, as well as Best Rap Album for “Michael” and Best Rap Song for “Scientists & Engineers,” However, the day ended on a sour note, as he the authorities arrested him, as seen in the viral video.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the authorities arrested the artist for a misdemeanor. Police spokesman Officer Mike Lopez said the singer’s arrest was due to an altercation inside the arena around 4 p.m. Mike is also an activist who has spoken out against inequality for blacks and became a staunch supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders’ 2016 U.S. presidential campaign.

The Grammy winner hosted Netflix’s “Trigger Warning with Killer Mike,” a 2019 documentary series on issues affecting the black community. He also made an emotional call to calm a protest against police brutality that turned violent in Atlanta.

On the other hand, Cody Rhodes has suffered a setback of his own as he took to the sidelines from his feud with Roman Reigns as Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson takes center stage at WrestleMania to face the Tribal Chief. This has created an uproar on social media, with fans and veterans voicing out their support for the ‘American Nightmare’.
