There are moments in WWE that leave the audience suspended in disbelief. And mostly these moments are the kayfabe presented by the WWE stars which gives birth to some epic storytelling. These spectacles in turn convert audiences into fans. If you are in the business as long as The Undertaker has been, chances are you’ll end up having some younger fans too. The Undertaker had a chance encounter with such a young fan at a recent meet and greet and the conversation that followed was heartwarming, to say the least.

The Undertaker’s interaction with a young Undertaker

The Phenom shared a clip on his X (formerly Twitter) account with the caption, “Meet my man Axl! He’s one cool little kid!”. As fans were introduced to probably one of the youngest from the fandom, they got to see a very heartening conversation. Axl had dressed up as what looked like the veteran’s western mortician gimmick with the same hat and gloves. The former three-time World Heavyweight Champion quickly noticed and jokingly asked, “Hey man have you been taking my stuff?”.

Later on in the clip, we saw both Axl and Taker on the stage exchanging hi-fives as the star was about to address the fans in attendance. The clip showed a very lively side of the once-known Deadman of WWE.

Mark Calaway debuted at the then WWF in the year 1990. He debuted under the name of Kane The Undertaker. However, over the years, ‘Kane’ dropped from his moniker and what remained was his iconic name, The Undertaker.

The class of 2022 Hall of Famer has been around for almost more than three decades now. During this time, he had multiple gimmicks at the promotion.

The many faces of The Undertaker

When he started off in the year 1990, he was known as Kane The Undertaker, a Western mortician. However, Kane was later dropped and he went just by The Undertaker. After a while, the 58-year-old star decided to transition to a darker role. Enter, The Deadman. As the mortician, he was already playing a mysterious man. Couple it up with the gimmick that he is someone who rose from death and gave the Stamford-based promotion the recipe to make money. Then along came The Phenom. This gimmick by the star is something that received a cult-level status. After returning at WrestleMania 20 following a brief hiatus, fans saw a different Undertaker.

He became more gruesome and more dark compared to the Deadman. His next gimmick literally gave birth to a cult at WWE. The Ministry of Darkness was a heel faction during the Attitude Era. The Taker was the leader of the said cult-ish faction and oftentimes they used to perform sacrificial ceremonies. Lastly, he donned his final gimmick, which is still something he goes by today. The American Badass is a gimmick that came in during the early 2000s. While most fans consider it a major downgrade to his previous kayfabe, he still managed to pull this off with ease. Which was your favorite gimmick by The Undertaker and what do you think of this heartwarming side of The Deadman?
