WATCH: Roman Reigns and Randy Orton Awkwardly Passing Time During Commercial Break

Shortly after his return at Survivor Series ’23, Randy Orton signed to be on SmackDown. The WWE legend appeared on the blue brand last Friday only to threaten The Tribal Chief. The Viper couldn’t wait to assert his dominance over Roman Reigns since his return. Even though the confrontation between the two stars was heated, things also got a bit awkward between them.

This happened when the show was interrupted by a regular commercial. Fan footage captured the awkward energy in the arena in the middle of the episode during the promo that Orton and Reigns shared.

Roman Reigns and his newest foe had zero interaction

The Apex Predator attempted to intimidate The Bloodline leader with his presence during the show. However, during the time of their promo, the two wrestlers had to turn down the heat because of an ongoing commercial, causing an awkward moment to kick in.

In the video, we can see Orton walking around, mumbling something to himself while Roman Reigns is standing idly inside the ring with the rest of his gang.

While fans are trying to cheer up the stars and lighten the tension in the arena, the awkward energy can be sensed even through the video, with the stars looking bored.

However, despite the truce that the arena witnessed for a few moments, we cannot ignore the fact that Orton is hellbent on punishing The Bloodline for their past sins and is probably coming to get Roman Reigns soon.

Should we expect a match between Roman Reigns and Randy Orton soon?

The multi-time WWE Champion was put out of the business by Jey Uso while competing in a tag team match in 2022. For more than a year, Orton had to fully recover before returning to the ring. Even though he is not taking his revenge on Jey Uso, probably because he has redeemed himself, the WWE legend is here to make “The Tribal Chief” pay for what his stable members had done to him.

Since Orton becoming the next Universal Champion seems a bit unrealistic at the moment, he might wrestle The Bloodline in a six-man tag match with AJ Styles and LA Knight on his side.
