WWE fans last saw John Cena in the ring at Crown Jewel 2023. There is a huge possibility that he hung up his wrestling gear after the PLE. One of the reasons behind the same was the fact that the WWE legend’s body was not supporting him in his wrestling adventures. After going through a recent operation, we finally have a clear look at John Cena’s current state.
First update about John Cena’s health in a long time
The last time we heard about The Cenation Leader’s health was when he posted a tweet sharing how he would be undergoing the ‘second’ elbow surgery in a few hours; the first one having performed on him earlier the same day. He made this tweet a few days after the Crown Jewel match. However, Cena didn’t drop any updates regarding how his surgeries went.

Recently, a fan caught a glimpse of him talking to a couple of people standing in front of him. The wrestler has a cast on his right hand, possibly from the surgery he underwent. Although one of the cast is still there, John Cena looks healthy and in perfect health.
Really hope John heals up soon and can get back out there. Didn’t seem like anything crazy, but he has a cast on his arm 😞

The fan page uploading the video also seems worried. But it appears that the WWE legend is most probably in a healthy condition, recovering from a recent surgery.
For fans who were conflicted whether John Cena would retire or not, this video might work as a closure to finally move on from ‘The Prototype’s WWE reign.

This year was a ‘treat for sore eyes’ for John Cena fans in WWE. Compared to other years following his switch to being a ‘part-time’ wrestler, we saw more of him in the ring in 2023. However, he didn’t go too out of the way to wrestle. And this was the concern that Dave Meltzer raised in the Wrestling Observer Radio a while ago.
The industry insider shed light on Cena’s recent elbow injury and pointed out how despite going easier in the ring, Cena still ended up requiring surgeries on his arms. This was a signal for the Hollywood sensation that perhaps it is time to hang up his wrestling gear.
