The latest episode of Monday Night RAW started with a massive pop for Seth Rollins. The WWE World Heavyweight Champion came out to talk to Cody Rhodes about his decision not to go after Roman Reigns. However, a certain chant from 1996 echoed throughout the arena.

Anti-Rock fans continue to express their disappointment with WWE’s booking

As Rollins took to the ring, he heard the fans burst out with “Rocky Sucks!” chants. These were first heard during Dwayne Johnson’s debut in the WWE when the fans did not like his gimmick. Even Micheal Cole acknowledged that this was like a blast from the past. These chants made Johnson change his babyface persona into the heel Rock we all knew and loved from the late 90s.

Fans have not been happy about Rhodes handing over his WrestleMania 40 main event spot to Johnson. They have been vocal about it by hijacking WWE’s social media posts and flooding the comment section with their thoughts. Even Rollins acknowledged the heat the Hollywood star was getting at the hands of the live crowd.

This heat isn’t going anywhere, with reports coming in that anti-Rock signs were handed out at the start of this episode by the WWE themselves. The roar of the fans wanting Rhodes cannot be denied. While the commentary team tries to sway the fans watching at home that the chants are for Rhodes to be on the show, everyone knows it is for him to be at WrestleMania.
