Dwayne Johnson added a video to his Instagram account with the caption, “We made a big, bold move – and went for it. Our XFL & USFL have merged to create the UFL. UNITED FOOTBALL LEAGUE!” The Brahma Bull went on to call this a triumph for all parties before making another grand announcement.

The Rock further wrote, “A win for football. A win for fans. And now the fun part…. We get to go to work to deliver a great inaugural UFL season this spring. THANK YOU FANS for your hyped support!!” While football remains a mammoth sport throughout the year, the spring season marks one of its most intense and sought-after legs.

The video Dwayne Johnson uploaded showcased the reaction of the news and the internet over the union of two leagues. Crossing over 70,000 likes in just nine hours, the post has been generating a lot of hype on the internet. Most importantly, we are already in January right now, which means that the first season of the UFL will be here within just two months.
