SmackDown on 03/08 witnessed a wild ending to the show. The tables turned on Dwayne Johnson weeks after he had disrespected Cody Rhodes publicly in Las Vegas at the WrestleMania 40 KickOff event. The babyface slapped Johnson across the face in front of the crowd present in Dallas last night. But this is not where the adrenaline stopped.

Shortly after this incident, the episode came to a close. However, fan-made videos carried the moment forward by posting several bits of unseen footage online. One such clip shows Cody Rhodes celebrating the moment with his new best friend.

Cody Rhodes celebrates slapping Dwayne Johnson

On the last episode of Friday Night SmackDown, The Rock made a surprise appearance when Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins were present on the blue brand to accept his challenge. After DJ tried to assert dominance on Rhodes, he ended up getting slapped and the show eventually came to a close.

For those of you who didn’t like the cliffhanger, we have fan footage available of what happened afterward. A fan account posted a video online that ended up getting reposted on ‘X’. In the video, we can see The American Nightmare running off to his future tag team partner.

The rest of the video showcases the bond that the two wrestlers have built working together. Rhodes and Rollins can be seen celebrating the historic slap together as they are close to exiting the arena.

Their friendship comes as a surprise for wrestling fans because of the past the two superstars share. However, they are now able to put their rivalry behind them to face Johnson and The Bloodline together.

After the iconic moment in the ring, another one of Rhodes’ family members was celebrating his courage and boldness from out of the arena.

Before the 03/01 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Johnson uploaded an online promo for all the wrestling fans to see. He was in unwavering kayfabe throughout the video while recalling how the ex-AEW EVP wronged him and turned on his words last minute. Things took a turn when The Brahma Bull also called out Rhodes’ dog Pharaoh, who already resides in the hearts of wrestling fans.

This callout must have angered the family. Consequently, when Cody Rhodes slapped the TKO director across the face in front of the Dallas crowd, his wife reposted this moment and claimed that it was also for Pharaoh.
