WWE fans were left in shock when WWE announced that Charlotte Flair had sustained a major injury. While many thought of it as a possible kayfabe, unfortunately, the injury that the Queen of WWE has sustained was very much real.  Due to this, she is set to miss out on almost 9 months of action. However, while fans are worried about her current status, the former WWE Champion has shared some positive updates regarding her condition.

How is Charlotte Flair doing?

Taking to her Instagram stories, Flair shared a clip where she mentioned that it was her first day out of the hospital after her surgery. It looks like she was in a rehabilitation centre but updates are scarce. Flair sustained an injury a few weeks ago on the 12/8 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The injury occurred during her fight with Asuka. As she was about to jump from a turnbuckle to attack the Empress of Tomorrow, she happened to trip which resulted in a painful botch.

After an examination by the referee, the match was called off. Following this, she was carefully escorted to the backstage. Further assessment was done by the medical team available on the scene. There it was confirmed that she had sustained some serious injuries. A couple of days later, more details about her injury were revealed.

The word around town was that she might have likely sustained an ACL tear. However, according to insiders, it was stated that it was more than just an ACL tear. Apart from that, it was reported that she had previously sustained a few more injuries in the same leg.

It was reported that the 37-year-old star would likely undergo the surgical procedure around the holiday season. However, this update by Flair came in at the right time considering the update she had given her fans recently.

Why was Charlotte Flair scared?

Recently, Flair took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how she is feeling following the surgery. Flair stated that this was the first time she was truly scared. The reason behind it is the fact that she would be mostly out of action in 2024. As stated by WWE, Flair is set to miss out on almost 9 months of wrestling. This includes the upcoming Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, and many more Premium Live Events.

While she has stated that this injury has been a mental and physical blow to her, she is trying to stay strong through this difficult time. She also thanked her fans for showing constant love and support to her. As Flair entered her first day of physical rehabilitation, fans could only pray for her speedy recovery.
