Khan lost many talents from his court last year and even at the start of his year. So, the glimmer of hope associated with the health update of Kenny Omega had him take a breather. For those unversed, All Elite Wrestling sensation Kenny Omega has reportedly been diagnosed with a rare health complication, diverticulitis. From the hospital bed, the 40-year-old star himself shared concerning news, sending the entire wrestling universe into worry. He declared that the illness had his career hanging in the balance, as he was out for an indefinite period. The situation took a more serious turn when the fans came to know that he could collapse during the aggressive treatment process. A delay in surgery was what triggered the severity of his health.
However, not long before the hiatus, Khan re-signed Omega and The Elite to a multi-year deal. Nevertheless, even before his own injury troubles plagued him, the AEW star did not look forward to the changing landscape of AEW.
Kenny Omega cast doubt on AEW’s prospects before being sidelined
Over the past few years, Tony Khan made rounds, adding a host of pay-per-views to their schedule. The number doubled from four to eight in 2023. But the needle over entity, Kenny Omega doesn’t deem it as a sureshot fruitful call at all. He thinks there should be an adequate time in between the PPVs for building up proper storylines and retaining the fans’ emotions in the long run. The PPV should be a special deal that doesn’t occur every alternative day. He feels the quality speaks louder than the quantity.
