Cena’s project, Coyote vs. Acme, a live-action movie, isn’t coming to theatres at all as the studio has shifted its global strategy to focus on theatrical releases. So, they are finding it difficult to proceed with Cena’s latest project. The information was officially spilled by The Hollywood Reporter.

They stated, ”With the re-launch of Warner Bros. Pictures Animation in June, the studio has shifted its global strategy to focus on theatrical releases. With this new direction, we have made the difficult decision not to move forward with ‘Coyote vs. Acme.’ We have tremendous respect for the filmmakers, casts, and crew and are grateful for their contribution.”

The most shocking part is, however, that the movie had already been filmed. It was earlier supposed to be released on July 21, 2023. Later it got postponed with various rumors swirling over the air before they finally pulled the plug on the project altogether.
