Edge saw unimaginable success a few years later in WWE after making his debut in 1996. In all, he went on to win 11-world championships and several other titles in his career. However, he credits his mother as the backbone of his successful WWE career. Recently, The Rated R Superstar shared he didn’t want to fail in his initial days in WWE for his mom.

The WWE Hall of Famer was close to his mother Judy Lynn Copeland and wanted to do a huge gesture for his mom so she can live a wonderful life. 

Edge didn’t want to fail in WWE for his mom

In his appearance on the recent episode of Impaulsive podcast with Logan Paul, Edge talked about his life. He shared wanting to buy a house for his mom, which was his initial goal and then started building his life ahead.

The four-time WWE Champion said, “For me the mindset was, ‘Failure is not the option’. I truly like everything what I’m doing it. Initially, I wanted to do it because I loved it and wanted to buy my mom a house, that was the goal. Did both of those and (I was like). ‘Wow, right let’s see what else we can do now.”

Edge made his mom proud and also saw her living a life that always wished to see his mother live. Also, The Rated R Superstar’s mom Judy Copeland saw her son rise up the ranks personally and professionally. 

The Rated R Superstar opened up to Paul and Mike Miljak about his mother working two jobs before he became a star. Moreover, he also recalled she being supportive of all the decisions he took in his life.

Sadly, the WWE legend’s mother passed away in 2018 and it was a tough time for Edge as per his WWE return documentary. Even Beth Phoenix shared how sad the 49-year-old was at the time, but currently after being a dad is living a happy life.

While talking about his goals to ‘The Maverick’, Edge shared how he feels currently in his life. Clearly, it is safe to say The Rated R Superstar has found happiness in his life as he described on the podcast.

The 7-time World Heavyweight Champion said, “And now been a dad, wrote a book and been in a bunch of TV stuff, like I’ve done stuff that I didn’t expect on the top of all the stuff that I did expect. I’m a lucky dude and I hate to be that kind but I love my life, I really really do.”

Edge returned to WWE after nine years and has also stated he might retire anytime soon but on his terms. Clearly, his life came full circle after becoming a family man, he got to wrestle again and is living the life he wants to.
