Wrestling universe has a deep-rooted connection to the hip-hop world. Since the ‘Rock N’ Wrestling Connection’ era, pop culture slowly started to get a hold of the business. From Bad Bunny to Snoop Dogg, WWE featured a number of celebrity rappers in their shows for the sake of better promotion. Now, WWE crept into the pop arena with legendary rapper singer Busta Rhymes nailing his iconic entrance at 50 Cent’s ‘Final Lap Tour’ last night with a WWE accolade on his shoulder.

Former Impact Wrestling star Velvet Sky was there at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford to cheer for the £6 million pop icon.

Busta Rhymes flaunted the WWE Championship belt during his standout performance at ‘Final Lap Tour’

On August 11, the pre-scheduled program of the summer concert took place at Xfinity Theatre, Hartford. The entertainment-packed night saw a handful of stars putting on their highest level of performances, making the thick crowd go insane. Besides Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s crackling ‘All The Way Up’, Busta Rhymes pulled off some of his hot favorite gems like ‘I Know What You Want,” ”Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” in his usual stellar fashion.

However, the real stellar moment hit the hall when an energetic Rhymes took his spectacular entry to the stage with the championship belt of Vince McMahon’s company shining in his body.

The popular singer-songwriter had a special segment with The Rock on WWE TV back in 2002 as well

Busta Rhymes appeared on WWE TV alongside The Rock during an old SmackDown episode

During a decade-old SmackDown episode, the renowned rapper made a special live appearance on the program. He was tipped to share the stage with none other than The Rock, who headed to the program after a long hiatus from wrestling. Making a style entry to the ring, The Rock addressed the crowd and planned to sing a song for them.

Little did he know that he had another one in proximity who could surpass his singing skill. Busta Rhymes then turned up with a warm reception. Following some initial verbal exchange with the Brahma Bull about his movie Halloween: The Resurrection, they sang a song together, receiving loud pops from the crowd.

The segment was indeed special not only from the movie’s promotional viewpoint but also for The Rock’s much-awaited return to the squared circle.
