As mentioned earlier, Jey and McIntyre had a dark match after this week’s blue brand show went off air. The ending segments of the match saw Jey climbing the top rope to hit a splash on McIntyre. However, Jimmy came rushing out from backstage and toppled his twin brother off the rope.

Jimmy then flattened Jey with a super kick. He continued to land kicks on his brother while McIntyre stood there and watched him beat his opponent. Jimmy reached out for a handshake, but McIntyre chose to ignore it and walked away.

Jimmy continued his attack. A few moments later, Knight’s music hit, and he came running to the ring to save Jey. Knight is also involved in The Bloodline storyline now as the fans saw him challenge Roman Reigns last week on SmackDown.

Knight vs. Roman Reigns confirmed for Crown Jewel

Last week on the season premiere of SmackDown, John Cena kicked off the show. A few moments later, Reigns accompanied by Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman interpreted his segment. Cena acknowledged ‘The Tribal Chief’ but Reigns disrespected him.

Cena then announced that he had brought a challenger for Reigns and Knight came out from backstage. As the latter made his way to the ring and confronted Reigns, Jimmy attacked him from behind. Later, in the main event, he faced Sikoa and beat him. But Reigns enjoyed the last laugh as he speared Knight in the middle of the ring.

This week on SmackDown, Knight confronted Heyman and made his intentions clear he wants a shot at the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. WWE made the match official for Crown Jewel. Next, Knight and Reigns will have their contract-signing segment.
