Dominik shared his views in conversation with Baby Huey on the In The Kliq podcast. The two covered several topics, including the recent WWE release and what Dominik felt about it. This is where the topic of Mustafa Ali was brought up. Dominik, as mentioned before, was supposed to face Ali at NXT’s No Mercy PPV on September 30, 2023. However, it seems like the match won’t happen now.
Huey asked Dominik right at the start how he felt about the situation. “Yeah, it’s a very unfortunate situation,” Dominik replied. Breaking kayfabe, Dominik broke kayfabe and sympathized with his opponent, who could have potentially taken his title away. He said it was disheartening that talented individuals had to endure this type of situation.
“But at the end of the day, it is out of our control,” he added. He explained how the company decides who stays and who goes. He said every wrestler gives it their best but has no control over the company’s decisions.
