‘The Hulkster’ recently sat down for a virtual interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour. During the interview, he mentioned one aspect that shocked him the most. He said, “Shocked that he would not be 24/7 involved with the business. That guy never stopped. It was seven days a week. I’d go to Monday Night Raw, and we’d have a post-production meeting at one o’clock in the morning after the show was over.”

“I’d sneak back to my hotel, he’d be banging on my door at 2:30, 3:00, ‘Come on, monster. Let’s go work out.’ Used to drive me crazy. Then he’d sleep for four hours and have another 20-hour day. It was like that every day,” he added.

As ‘Hulkamania’ was one of the major stars in the 80s and 90s, he accompanied ‘The Evil Genius’ everywhere he went for promotions. The latter’s workaholic nature led the former to get frustrated often, as it would deprive him of sleep and rest.

It is no secret that Mr. McMahon’s love for WWE is boundless. He still possesses the passion that drives his body to work, even at 77 years old. The WWE Universe saw him retiring last year in July because of some legal tussles, but he returned to the business six months later in January 2023.

‘The Hulkster’ mentioned that though ‘Vinnie Mac’ selling WWE came as a shocker to him, it also made sense in some ways.

Hogan believes the sale of WWE is best for business

During the interview, Hogan stated that from a business perspective, ‘Mr. McMahon’ selling WWE to Endeavor was a good move. ‘The Boss’ is a smart man and knows what’s best for business. And that’s exactly what he did with the sale.

He added, “Business-wise, the amount of money it generated for him, and where it’s put him in this catbird position, up on this financial pedestal, I understand the security of it.” He lauded McMahon’s wise decision about the financial feasibility of the deal.

Surely, it was a profitable deal for the WWE Executive Chairman as he got an extra 0.3 billion dollars from the sale. Plus, he retained his position and control over the promotion, making it a win-win situation for him. Indeed, when it comes to business, the McMahons know what they are doing.
