Taking to her X (formerly Twitter), Sky informed her fans of the entire situation as she provided details on how the incident occurred. She wrote, “I’m currently in Japan to purchase costumes. Around 1 pm yesterday, I realized that I had lost my iPhone while shopping at a department store in Shinjuku. It was definitely in my hands at least 2:30 minutes before that. I have two smartphones, one from Japan and one from the United States, so I immediately used my American smartphone to call my number, but it was turned off. (The one I lost was a Japanese smartphone)”

She provided further details on the current status of the phone. She revealed that it was being tracked to be somewhere in a large building in Shinjuku for 30 minutes before it started moving around evening and finally was tracked to be somewhere in a residential area in Tokyo.
