We don’t always end up where we dreamed of. Dwayne Johnson‘s life is a popular example of going with the flow of life. Although The Rock is still a successful man, when he was a college student, he had initially planned to play for the NFL. As we all know today, this didn’t come to happen. But there is more stuff about Johnson’s college life that we still haven’t unraveled.

Former NFL star Warren Sapp was exposed The Rock for stealing an important part of his WWE gimmick. It turns out that his popular catchphrases weren’t that original after all.

Warren Sapp appeared in an episode of ‘Club Shay Shay’ two years ago. There, the former NFL star answered several queries. While talking about The Rock, he revealed something that fans did not know much about. This dated back to the days when both Sapp and Johnson were playing on the football team at the University of Miami.

While talking about The Rock, his old teammate revealed that his popular catchphrases aren’t exactly ‘original’. Sapp said, “That ‘candy a**’ and ‘shoving it sideways’? Oh my God, that’s what Ed Orgeron used to talk to us if we had a bad practice or a bad game. That’s how he used to talk to us just like that.” And for those of you who don’t know, Ed Orgeron was the coach of the football team when Johnson was in his freshman year.

The irony of the situation arises when we realize that only a few days back, LA Knight was being attacked by known WWE personalities for being a copy of The Rock.

So much so that Knight had to retort. And now after 2 years, this video resurfaced to tell us that LA Knight isn’t the only accused of copying others.

Although The Rock hasn’t replied to this particular accusation yet, he once recalled a bitter memory associated with Sapp.

Sapp compromised Dwayne Johnson’s NFL career

While giving a motivational speech to the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwayne Johnson briefly mentioned his former teammate. He recalled that Sapp probably stopped his possible NFL career. He began by telling everyone that Sapp was playing tight end at that time while The Rock was starting defensive tackle. When the team moved Sapp over to the D line, he looked at Johnson and said, “Dude, I’m gonna take your spot,” which ended up coming true.

During the speech, Johnson also confessed that what happened there with Sapp, “f*cked” with him. Despite everything, he carried on and eventually became a WWE legend and one of the highest-paid Hollywood stars.
