Turning Real-Life Beef Into ‘Win-Win’ Situation, Seth Rollins Spills How He Settled His Issues With Former Rival Matt Riddle: “I’ll Forgive, Not Always Forget”

WWE always creates interesting storylines for fans to tune in every week. However, sometimes those rivalries are derived from the personal dislike those superstars have for each other. That is the case between the current World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and the Original Bro Riddle.

Rollins in the recent edition of the Impaulsive show, hosted by old rival Logan Paul, spoke in detail about his past issues with Riddle and shed light on the same.

What did Seth Rollins say about Riddle?

Rollins and Paul came together, much to everyone’s surprise for an exciting episode of Impaulsive which was laced with brilliant insights into ‘The Visionary’s life.

In the podcast, Rollins spoke about his real-life beef with Riddle and quoted: We had a bit of a real life beef, if you will, I had a bit of an issue with him, so you kind of got to see that play out on live television a little bit, so we worked it to our favour because now we have a moment that’s viral and something you remember that affected you so, win-win I would say.

However, Rollins also claimed that he may forgive but not forget things. He said, “I’ll forgive, not always forget, but I’m willing to move forward. So he was a big man about it, came forward and apologised, and we were able to work together and I’m happy for that.”

This is great news for the fans of both these superstars since nobody would wish the two powerhouses of talent to have an off-screen rivalry.

The fact that Riddle apologized, and the two mended fences talks volumes about their incredible personalities. This is a stark contrast from their equation last year.

Analyzing their history and current equation

It all started when Riddle’s ex-wife made distasteful statements regarding Becky Lynch. This led to a real-life heat as the current World Heavyweight champion then claimed in interviews that he didn’t wish to work with Riddle.

But following these events, Riddle magnanimously apologized to Rollins about his ex-wife’s statements and even wished them luck for Lynch’s pregnancy. Taken aback, ‘The Architect’ decided to move forward and since then things have remained cordial between the two.

It also didn’t stop them from having a fantastic feud with each other. And while Rollins beat Riddle at the Clash of Champions, the former tag team champion got his payback when he made Rollins tap out at Extreme Rules in a Fight Pit match.
