Triple H Seemingly Losing the Locker Room Despite Creating History at SummerSlam

At SummerSlam 2023, fans witnessed a heavily stacked match card. However, except for a few, none of the other matches could impress the fans nor build the superstar’s storylines further. Although the event created history, it left the locker room fuming.

WWE SummerSlam 2023 recorded the second-largest crowd of all time, with 51,477. The first one was the 1992 WWE SummerSlam event with a record total of 78,927 audience members. In spite of recording such high numbers, Triple H failed to satisfy his superstars.

The WWE locker room reportedly not satisfied with Triple H and his creative direction

The conclusion of WWE SummerSlam 2023 saw a majority of superstars left without a direction to pursue. Furthermore, the match card also missed out on featuring several top names on the roster, such as Rhea Ripley, etc.

Reports claim that there is a rising outrage amongst superstars backstage, and how discontent they are with Triple H. The boiling rivalry between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus failed to make it to the card. Moreover, Rhea Ripley also missed out on defending her title against Raquel Rodriguez.

Former WWE Champion Sheamus also recently opened up about his dissatisfaction with the creatives. He explained how they failed to convert his rising momentum after Clash at The Castle 2022. Although Kevin Owens is out injured, he also reportedly fumed about the direction the tag-team titles are going after ‘Mania 39.

While even a few months ago people were celebrating Triple H’s role as the creative head, it now seems the honeymoon phase is now over. Except for Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, The Bloodline, and a few other names, no other superstars are being pushed to their limit.

Triple H and WWE failed to capitalize on Sami Zayn’s popularity a few months ago, and the same is being done with LA Knight. With a rising rebellion in the locker room, fans hope that Triple H learns from his shortcomings, and makes up for them.

Will Triple H capitalize on LA Knight’s rising popularity?

Amidst all the other names backstage, LA Knight is currently one of the most popular superstars on the roster. Although WWE did not hand him over the MITB briefcase, they made sure to push him and have him win the Slim Jim Battle Royale.

However, what prize did the winner of the Battle Royale get? None. Despite winning the Battle Royale, Knight did not get any reward for it. Wrestling fans wondered what the entire point behind the match was, except for the promotion.

However, amidst the match, Graves and Michael Cole discussed the winner of the match, getting a potential title shot. And, it is to be seen when and where WWE decides to hand over a title shot to LA Knight, and if he can capitalize on that.
