As usual, the Royal Rumble had a few surprises up their sleeves. Several wrestlers returned to the company, made a surprise visit, or debuted, as was the case with Jade Cargill. However, there were also comebacks after a period of injury.
Liv Morgan made her appearance at No. 30 in the Royal Rumble women’s battle royal. Morgan held on until the final moments, falling just short of victory, just as she had done the year before. And Naomi, too, returned to the WWE after her sudden departure in 2022. Triple H lavished some praise on these three women who changed the landscape of women’s wrestling for the good.

Taking to his Instagram, Triple H, shared pictures of himself with Jade Cargill, Naomi, and Liv Morgan. He revealed that he expects them to shine on the WWE roster now. All thanks to the connection that they share with the WWE Universe. He had a bit more to add, as he wrote in the caption to the post, “The landscape of the @WWE Women’s division was altered last night. The highly anticipated debut of Jade Cargill was well received as she squared off against Nia Jax. However, it was someone else who stole the show with her return. Especially as she became the one to eliminate Cargill from the Royal Rumble.
The much-awaited comeback of Liv Morgan
The WWE Universe watched with anticipation to see who would appear in the coveted No. 30 position at the Women’s Royal Rumble. And they wouldn’t be disappointed, as fans around the world collectively cheered as Liv Morgan’s theme kicked on and she stepped into the ring with overflowing confidence. The former SmackDown Women’s champion entered the match with fiery intensity. After immediately hitting Bayley with an Oblivion, Zoey Stark tried to slow Morgan’s momentum, temporarily stunning her with a superkick, but Morgan recovered in time to reverse a right punch from Stark to eliminate her.

The former SmackDown women’s champion continued to fight and earned another elimination by taking down fan-favorite Jade Cargill with another Oblivion. However, the key to WrestleMania slipped through her fingers, as Bayley eliminated Morgan shortly after to win the match. But this was still an awe-inspiring return for the 29-year-old.
Morgan’s last appearance on WWE programming was on the July 17 episode of WWE RAW, where she and Raquel Rodriguez attempted to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Piper Niven and Chelsea Greene. That night, the titles changed hands, and Morgan disappeared from WWE television as she had succumbed to an injury.
