Not only do Tony Khan and Triple H compete with each other regularly on a ‘content’ and ‘audience’ basis, but they also tend to compete to establish their supremacy regarding hiring new talents. Both AEW and WWE are involved in a constant race to hire more and more talented stars for their promotions. As a result, it all comes down to which promotion puts forward the best offer.

Up until now, fans were aware that the two promotions were engaged in a bidding war regarding Sasha Banks, but another wrestling talent has entered the scene as he is all set to leave Japan.

The Japanese talent in question is Kazuchika Okada. When the wrestler appeared on the 1/19 episode of NJPW, he revealed that he would soon be leaving the promotion. Okada still has three more shows to perform in before he walks out of NJPW. Because of the time that he has on his hands, Okada is thinking his decision through before signing with either AEW or WWE, leading to increased tension.

Dave Meltzer from WON recently reported about how the Japanese wrestler is all set to leave NJPW. Then, the industry insider also updated fans on the current ‘contract’ situation in which both WWE and AEW are entangled.

WON suggests that so far, both Triple H and Tony Khan have played out their offers on the table for Okada. So far, the belief is that both companies are going to fight hard to sign him. Months ago, it was noted that WWE had the stronger shot, but it turns out that Tony Khan has laid out the stronger first offer.

Fans who wish to see him soon in the American wrestling circuit should note that no contract has yet been signed. However, there is a high possibility that he will be coming overseas to work now.

Apart from Okada, there is one more Japanese wrestler looking forward to leaving her country to come and work for the American pro wrestling industry. However, this time around, WWE seems to have the upper hand.
