Even though wrestlers are supposed to have strength beyond an average human being, it’s not an easy task to crush a watermelon with your bare hands. Even though there are other measures of strength, seeing someone easily take on the task of destroying a tough fruit is impressive, nevertheless.

On July 16th this year, WWE posted a video of Bobby Lashley crushing a watermelon using his bare hands. This was done as a way to appreciate Lashley’s strength on his birthday.

It takes 364 pounds worth of pressure to crush a watermelon. To put things into perspective, an average human male only has a grip squeeze of 72 lbs. Even though Lashley is bear-hugging the watermelon to crush it, it’s still not a task that can be executed by a healthy human as easily as Lashley is seen doing it.

So, it is understandable that this video is still awe-inducing to netizens despite being almost five months old.

This video also does a good job of infusing fear into the hearts of whoever dares to face the powerful wrestler. His strength is the reason why he has been able to conquer The Beast Incarnate as well. But what is next for Lashley?

Last time on SmackDown, Lashley left behind his ‘mentor’ persona to fight Butch from The Brawling Brutes. As many would have expected, the 47-year-old ended up with a victory in hand. And now, the promotion could be planning something big for him.

During the same episode on the blue brand, internet sensation Logan Paul made his entrance. He announced that in light of Rey Mysterio‘s injury, he would need a new challenger to defend his US Championship. This is when Paul revealed how he worked out a deal with WWE and a tournament would be held among different challengers to determine the final opponent for Paul, with Bobby Lashley as one of the many possible contenders.
