The air is still heavy with grief. The WWE Universe was in for a rude shock when Triple H broke the unfortunate news of Bray Wyatt’s passing on August 24. A part of the world was still sleeping at that time, and needless to say, it wasn’t the best of news they woke up to. While Wyatt had been absent from WWE programming for months, keeping his fans waiting with his impending return, almost no one could have predicted that it would lead to this. Now, the promotion is gearing to pay their last respect to the 36-year-old.
For this, they are reportedly bringing in two of the closest peers of Wyatt, including WWE superstar Cody Rhodes. The tribute is likely to be the overall theme of the August 25th SmackDown episode.

As soon as Triple H’s tweet was posted, the news spread like wildfire. Wyatt, despite his enigmatic character, was a popular wrestler among the WWE Universe. Upon his demise, not just the fans, several WWE legends like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Ric Flair and others paid rich tributes on social media.
To make it even more memorable, WWE is reportedly bringing in Cody Rhodes and Braun Strowman on SmackDown as part of the proposed tribute episode.

Both the wrestlers have a strong connection with the deceased superstar. Both Cody Rhodes and Wyatt have roots in the WWE. Apart from having their fathers wrestle in the Stamford-based promotion, they also grew up in the industry during the same time, with a year here and there.
Strowman, on the other hand, portrayed the Black Sheep of The Wyatt Family, a stable that creeped and wowed fans in equal measure. This stable and the storyline fueled Wyatt’s rise in the promotion and the pro wrestling world.
The two wrestlers undoubtedly have a treasure trove of memories about Wyatt and are likely to share it with the fans. It is, however, unlikely for Strowman to feature in a bout, as he is reportedly nursing an injury.
Meanwhile, the latest development had fans taking to X to share their views.
Fans still in shock over unexpected death
No, fans aren’t angry with the WWE. They are just not ready to accept the fact that the promotion will have to organize a tribute show for the former WWE champion this early.
Wyatt, 36, suffered a heart attack, as reported by Sean Ross Sapp hours after his death. Reports have also said that the wrestler had suffered health complications stemming from Covid. This explains his time out from the promotion.

Cody gonna have difficult time. He was Bray's Pro on NXT. So he gonna have some good memories with him for sure. And he was Brodie's last opponent before he sadly passed away. 😓
