Vince McMahon is arguably the most prominent name in the pro wrestling world. The 78-year-old changed the face of wrestling and is responsible for how several wrestling promotions, including the WWE, function. Earlier this year, he sold his company and, for the first time in 40 years, was relegated to a minority owner after Endeavor acquired 51 percent shares in the Stamford-based promotion.

Before WWE, was WWF. However, a legal dispute forced the company to change its name to its current branding. This took place on May 6, 2002. One of the pro wrestlers, who now is part of the rival AEW, recently shared his experience of being a part of the WWF.

Chris Jericho shared a match card from the last episode of WWF, which took place on May 5, 2002, at the Worcester Centrum in Massachusetts. Y2J’s main event that night was against Hulk Hogan as the two locked horns for Hogan’s Undisputed WWF Championship.

“If you would’ve told a 16-year-old me that this was gonna happen I would’ve laughed in your face and probably quoted a Hogan promo from Saturday Night’s Main Event! Life is amazing sometimes… @wwe,” part of Jericho’s caption read. This is not the first time he has thanked McMahon and the WWE in recent times.

In fact, on a recent episode of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Jericho showered lavish praise on his former boss.
