Every die-hard WWE fan knows how special the entrance music is for a particular wrestler. It is something that defines the very existence of that performer. It becomes so synonymous with the wrestler, that whenever you hear it, you feel like they will just pop up.

One of the most iconic entrance music ever in the history of the WWE is that of The Undertaker. It was composed by WWE composer Jim Johnston almost 33 years ago. And recently WWE legend Edge congratulated a band who actually created his popular entrance music, on a massive milestone.

Edge congratulated the band ‘Alter Bridge’ on the 19th anniversary of their debut album

Edge made his WWE debut on RAW on 22nd June, 1998. In his illustrious 25-year career, he has won multiple championships, with 11 WWE World titles to his name. He has gone down as one of the most popular stars of all time and one key aspect of his character is his entrance theme.

Edge is not just known for his wrestling laurels, he is also known for his entrance music. His entrance music is the song ‘Metalingus’ by the band Alter Bridge from the album ‘One Day Remains’. Recently that very album completed 19 years.

So obviously the ‘The Rated–R Superstar’ had to take to Twitter to congratulate the band on such a tremendous milestone. He tweeted, “And thank you for the soundtrack to my career. Can’t wait for 19 more”.

 

And we wish the same for Edge as he still continues to entertain fans as he did by defeating Grayson Waller on SmackDown a month ago. But going back to his entrance music, Edge actually revealed how he selected ‘Metalingus’ as his entrance music

Edge revealed on Logan Paul’s podcast how he chose ‘Metalingus’

On his last appearance on Logan Paul’s podcast ‘IMPAULSIVE’, Logan asked Edge how he came up with his walkout song. Edge said that he has a close friend whose brother was the guitarist of a rock band.

The band obviously being the now famous ‘Alter Bridge’. Around this same time, Edge was recovering from the neck injury he sustained in 2002. So his friend’s brother played their first album ‘One Day Remains’ and Edge really loved the 4th song on the list.

He then asked his friend’s brother if he could use that song as his entrance music when he returned to WWE. And the rest as they say is history as fans till today cherish the song ‘Metalingus’.
