“Time to Shave It”, “That’s Horrible” – John Cena Brutally Trolled for Not Maintaining His Originality and Trying to Look Young on Latest SmackDown Return

The WWE Universe finally got to see John Cena return home after last appearing at Money in the Bank earlier this year. With so many opinions flying on Cena’s role moving forward, fans got a glimpse of what could be as he had an intense segment with Jimmy Uso to kick things off on SmackDown. However, they have noticed a peculiar thing worth talking about on X.

While Cena stood tall on SmackDown, WWE fans have now taken to social media to troll a rather unique topic of contention, his new haircut. 

John Cena debuts a new haircut?

Cena opened SmackDown to a thunderous ovation. In the promo, he shared his excitement to wrestle for the first time in India and also announced hosting Payback, live on Saturday, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

But just when he was about to talk more, Jimmy Uso interrupted him. After having a profound back and forth with each other, Cena claimed that Jimmy has been making rash decisions for a while now. To hit the nail in the coffin, he put Uso in his place by saying, “The wrong Uso quit.” Humiliated, Jimmy tried to sneak attack Cena, only to catch an Attitude Adjustment from the leader of Cenation.

Even though he stood tall, unfortunately, he became the subject of trolling due to his hair. According to Wrestle Ops, Cena got a new haircut. While the look is similar to what he’s been carrying, fans were quick to spot the trim on the sides.

Cena was the franchise player for WWE for over a decade. He carried himself with a certain look including a jacked physique and a military cut. While his decision to tone down his structure has been well received, fans can’t get over his new look as they reminisce about his old haircut.

Regardless, due to nostalgia, he received a not-so-warm welcome on social media, with many absolutely destroying his new fade and demanding his old haircut back.

Fans go on a merciless rant about Cena’s hair

The 16-time World Champion has had a busy schedule moving forward on SmackDown. Besides that, he is about to have his debut match in India next week in Hyderabad when he teams up with Seth Rollins to take on the Imperium. While there’s still time for that, let’s look at what fans have said on X.

Cena did not impress most fans with his fresh trim, with them demanding the return of his old bald look that he sported for over 2 decades. Especially since his longer do has exposed the wrestler’s aging look.

Some fans mocked him for his bald patch and even suggested hair plugs to cover up the area.

Fans continued to troll the 46-year-old with their digs on X. Despite having an impressive showing on SmackDown, it’s safe to say he didn’t win them all over.

While it’s unfortunate that he got trolled for his hair, from his perspective with his commitments and roles in Hollywood, it’s unlikely for him to shave his head. However, with two months of his appearance set in motion, he may look to win over these critics as well.
