After a hiatus of 8 months, Jinder Mahal returned to WWE on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw, where he received an embarrassing beating from Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The following week on Raw, he confronted Seth Rollins, and demanded a title shot, as he believed he deserved it. He then attacked the World Heavyweight Champion, thus earning him a match at next week’s Flagship show.

Mahal is a former champion, and he is looking to win the gold once again. Let’s dive deep and explore the three reasons why he might win the WWE Championship again.

Being a heel in WWE, the fans are not very fond of Mahal. But it has changed recently. Now the WWE Universe is rooting for him, all thanks to the AEW president Tony Khan. Khan recently took several shots at Mahal on X, for getting a title shot, hinting that the former WWE Champion did nothing to earn it whatsoever.

The fans took offense to Khan’s statements and backed up Mahal on the social media platform. Now the WWE Universe wants Mahal to beat Rollins and win the championship. Seeing the fans rally behind Mahal could influence WWE’s decision to make him a champion again.

Triple H sees potential in Mahal

Mahal’s first stint in the Stamford-based promotion was not so good. But when he returned for his second stint, he instantly climbed the ladder of success. Just a year after his return, WWE pushed Mahal from mid-card talent to the main event roster.

Triple H saw potential in him and put him in the limelight against some of the big names in the promotion, like Randy Orton. He even defeated ‘The Viper’ to win his first championship in WWE. HHH had faith in him, and he pulled it off. The same can happen again at Raw next week.

Strategic Expansion into the Indian Market

WWE could target the fans in India with the help of Mahal. Though born in Canada, he is of Indian-Punjabi Sikh descent. Under their global expansion project, WWE has been focusing on attracting more foreign fans. Therefore, the promotion can strategically expand to the Indian market by crowning Mahal as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion on Raw next week.
