As the upcoming Crown Jewel 2023 comes closer, fans in LA Knight‘s camp keep making more and more noise. Their favorite superstar has finally received a match worthy of the popularity he enjoys. However, while Knight has been booked for a title match, will he really be able to defeat Roman Reigns?
The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns is currently enjoying the fifth-longest Undisputed WWE Universal Champion title run. Opposed to this, LA Knight is over with the crowd and has already defeated Roman Reigns in terms of fame. But, Reigns still carries the stronger edge when things move from people’s opinions into the ring. Here are the three reasons why Reigns will stomp LA Knight at the Crown Jewel and still have his undisputed title.
The crisscrossing game of storylines in WWE

WWE has built several narratives around The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns despite his limited participation in present times. Many of these narratives include wrestlers with very powerful storylines and staunch career backing for an actual title shot. The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes lost to Reigns at WrestleMania 39 and Jey Uso also failed to beat him at SummerSlam. These matches indicate that an even greater push is required to dethrone Roman Reigns from his spot.
Compared to Rhodes and Jey Uso, LA Knight doesn’t have the credibility to suddenly become the WWE Champion. Moreover, suddenly making Knight the champ will completely throw away the promotion behind Rhodes being the man to take out Reigns.

Knight’s storyline of one month is very short and weak compared to Rhodes’ struggle with over a year of push. While one may still choose to ignore these factors, there’s no denying that Reigns isn’t a lone wolf. In fact, he runs the most deadly pack on SmackDown.
LA Knight doesn’t have what it takes to beat The Tribal Chief
The character of LA Knight hasn’t spent much time on the main roster so far. Additionally, LA Knight still doesn’t have a significant track record to beat Roman Reigns in one of WWE’s most prestigious PLEs. Comparing him with existing contenders, his career is still very fresh and green. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso have won multiple titles throughout their long careers, but WWE still didn’t go forward with them as the new face of the company.
Knight doesn’t have a single main roster title in his record, which makes his case very weak compared to Rhodes and Jey. Besides, there’s always the threat of facing the entirety of The Bloodline and not just Roman Reigns in the matchup. Reigns’ lackeys have always spoiled the party whenever anybody gets close to beating him, be it Jey Uso or Drew McIntyre.
Thus, Roman Reigns will still manage to beat LA Knight even if he is somehow ready enough. While so far Reigns takes the win in every scenario, there is one scenario where LA Knight wins, but not at Crown Jewel.
Knight to earn chance against Roman Reigns
So far, LA Knight has fallen short on both storyline and substance to gain enough wrestling traction to stand on top of Roman Reigns. However, the primary problem that lies in Knight’s current push is the fact that he didn’t earn his chance. Instead, he has simply been handed a match against The Head of The Table due to his clout with the WWE Universe.

Although Roman Reigns will easily beat Knight in Saudi Arabia, Knight can resurrect as his nemesis at WrestleMania 40. Several strong rumors are traveling in circles that LA Knight is the most probable winner of the upcoming Royal Rumble. The Rumble has always been the biggest stamp of a wrestler’s claim to be the number one contender in WWE.
With the current popularity he has, winning the Royal Rumble will dramatically increase his chances at the biggest WWE PLE. Moreover, even if Knight picks up a loss against Reigns, it will still polish him more as a wrestler.

With this, he may even have more chances than Rhodes or Jey Uso. What are your thoughts about this?
