Rey Mysterio is among the few wrestlers to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame while actively wrestling. This speaks volumes about the 48-year-old WWE legend’s reputation in the Stamford-based promotion. Mysterio is certainly not the most gifted in terms of physique. In fact, he stands a little over 5 feet 6 inches, which is considered small when compared to other wrestlers on the roster. However, what Mysterio lacks in physique, he makes up for with his athleticism and in-ring charisma.

Recently, the ‘Master of 619’ revived his old Latino World Order faction with members of the Legado Del Fantasma. One of its members, Zelina Vega, took to social media to pay a unique tribute to the legendary luchador and fans seem to approve of the post.

Zelina Vega shares her 619 connection

Zelina Vega debuted in the WWE in 2017. After doing the hard yards in the promotion’s developmental brand NXT, she was drafted to SmackDown the following year. In 2019, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion was moved to Raw, before being moved back to SmackDown again.

According to reports, Zelina suffered an in-ring injury in May 2022, which kept her away from the action for seven months. Once back, she joined Legado Del Fantasma, a team comprising Zelina, Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.

The 32-year-old superstar enjoys a substantial fan following on Twitter. Interestingly, her follower count had an uncanny resemblance with the Biggest Little Man and Zelina shared it as a tribute to the WWE Hall of Famer.

Fans quickly praised the LWO member.

For the unversed, Booyaka 619 is the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s theme song and 619 is the finisher he uses in the ring.

Meanwhile, the newly formed LWO lost their first match on April 7 as Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar were defeated by The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and Damien Priest. While the father-son rivalry is gathering pace, Rey Mysterio has hinted at taking it a notch higher with a special match.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio have been an integral part of a recent WWE storyline. They have been at loggerheads ever since Dominik betrayed his old man and joined Finn Balor’s heel faction The Judgement Day. After being publicly humiliated a few times, Ray Mysterio avenged his harassment at WrestleMania 39, where he pinned his son to pick up the win.

Now, it seems the senior Mysterio has plans to take this rivalry to another level by wagering his iconic mask against his son’s hair.

Mysterio revealed his plans while appearing on Logan’s Paul’s Impaulsive podcast a few days ago. When the host asked him if Dominik would accept such a match, the WWE Hall of Famer said, “He talks a lot of c**p, so why not back it up?”
