The tenure for any WWE superstar in the company solely depends on their ascend to the top of the food chain. For some, it comes in very early, for others, it may take a long time or never come. Can you think of another type that exists in the industry? If you can’t, then you might have overlooked veterans who work for long stints, put in the work, day in and out, and make a name for themselves.

However, these veterans fail to make a major mark despite becoming popular figures and are shown the door without them being “done.” That is exactly what happened to a female WWE superstar who even made history at one point.

Which WWE superstar was put in the WWE alumni section by the machine themselves?

The list of some of the biggest female stars in WWE right now includes Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and more. All of them have revolutionized the business in their own way. However, there is another name that had her own share of work in the Women’s Revolution but did not reach the level of the aforementioned people. That superstar is Alicia Fox.

The foxy and resilient star was known for her work inside and outside the ring as well. Despite being a company veteran for nearly 15 years, Alicia seemingly never received her flowers. Moreover, she was apparently “done with wrestling,” but that was not her choice. In a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, fellow WWE legend Melina stated that she was under the impression that Fox no longer wanted to get in the ring while talking to her.

Melina said, “I thought you were done!?” This prompted Alicia Fox to clear the air regarding her wrestling days.

“I never said that. The machine said that. Girl, this appearance has been eye-opening. I didn’t put my face in that alumni section. I never said that. My bags are still packed. I’m p*ssed about it.

Fox disclosed that it was the management that ended her WWE tenure, even though she herself wanted to compete.

Alicia Fox arguably is a star in her own right. She made her WWE debut in 2008, appearing first as the wedding planner for Edge and Vickie Guerrero. Fox later transitioned into a serious in-ring competitor. She was a good worker inside the squared circle and has battled the likes of Natalya, Gail Kim, and Sasha Banks to name a few.

Furthermore, Alicia Fox made history by winning the WWE Divas championship in 2010. She outlasted Gail Kim, Eve Torres, and Maryse in a high-stakes Fatal-4 Way match. With her win, she became the first and only African American Divas champion in history. She last competed in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble match, after only making sporadic appearances over the last stretch of her run.
