Released or retired superstars, getting their feet back in the wrestling ring is not new to the wrestling world. Rather, it’s a common practice for most wrestling legends who couldn’t help resisting their ever-lasting urge to engage in the squared circle again after a long period of time.

No matter how frequently we get to see it occurring, every time it happens, it creates a lot of hype among fans. This time the newest addition to that returnee list is going to be none other than the former NXT tag team champion Tyler Breeze. That said, he’s not returning to the WWE ring, nevertheless.

In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE released a lot of talents from both NXT and main rosters. Although the reason given was the budget cut, the real scenario was something different. However, Breeze fell victim to the situation and ended up being released from the Stamford-based company back in 2021.

Since then, the 35-year-old star was merely seen around the wrestling industry. However, the once-fan favorite remains a fan favorite through his Woods UpUpDownDown YouTube Channel. Also, the former WWE talent has been busy co-owning a wrestling school named Flatbacks in Florida alongside Shawn Spears.

But that didn’t suffice his urge to be close to wrestling. As a result, after a gap of nearly two years, the former champion is bracing himself up to lace up his boots again, this time for the Prestige Wrestling promotion.

A brief visit to Tyler Breeze’s WWE stint

Tyler Breeze has been the mainstay in WWE even a few years ago. He also worked as a trainer of the talents for some time. The star made his official debut in the black and yellow brand in 2012 and quickly turned into the most popular heel version of himself. He faced off against the NXT Champion Neville a couple of times for clinching the coveted title, but couldn’t succeed.

After an edgy start, Prince Pretty teamed up with Fandango and formed the tag team named Breezango. The duo featured in the infamous comedy skits, Fashion Files, on a weekly basis. On the August 26th, 2020 episode of the NXT, they took down Imperium to win the tag team championship title. Following a brief reign, they, however, had to lose it to Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

Tyler last appeared inside the ring on the June 17, 2021 edition of NXT alongside his tag teammate, Fandango.
