Jimmy Uso, part of The Usos, alongside his twin brother Jey, recently dropped the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 39. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens dethroned the brothers, after a record-setting 622-day reign. While that might upset the older Uso brother, he has a reason to cheer for. Recently, a former WWE superstar hailed the eight-time tag team champion for helping her overcome tough times, especially after a tumultuous period in 2022.

Former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion terms Jimmy Uso as a ‘huge support’

Trinity Fatu, the erstwhile Naomi in WWE, left fans in shock as she exited the company in May 2022, while being the one-half of the Women’s tag team champions. Fatu wasn’t the only one to leave as her tag team partner and best friend Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks in WWE) tagged along. While Mone wrestled in NJPW, Fatu recently made her debut in Impact.

In an exclusive chat with Metro.co.uk, two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion opened up about her husband Jimmy Uso’s role in her life. “We support each other in every way, and he definitely – I love that he supports me and allows me to have my own standing, and my own mind, and us doing this together,” Fatu said.

The 35-year-old said that while it gets difficult at times, the two find ways to fix the issues. “It gets tricky and complicated, both of us being in the wrestling business together, the highs and lows of the career, just how to fix everything,” Trinity said. She credited her husband of nine years for being supportive and enabling her to travel this far.

“He’s a huge support. I probably wouldn’t have made it this far without him – in this business, period,” she added.

Naomi, who remained absent from in-ring action for close to a year, recently opened up on her unceremonious exit. Appearing on the Busted Open podcast, Fatu said she was broken inside by WWE’s treatment. She also called it the lowest phase of her life.

However, soon after signing with Impact, Fatu issued a challenge to another former WWE women’s champion.

Trinity Fatu ready to put friendship at stake upon return to pro-wrestling

Not all tag team partners get along well in real life. Some do a good job of keeping their kayfabe intact. Fortunately for Trinity, she was paired alongside Mercedes Mone, her real-life best friend. The two even proved their camaraderie by ditching the belts and walking out of WWE together. But that friendship could soon end, at least in kayfabe.

Shortly after making her Impact debut, the 35-year-old candidly confessed to wanting to face the NJPW star as an opponent. Mone, who held the IWGP Women’s Championship for 64 days, after making her debut in the Japanese promotion in January, is thousands of miles away from her BFF currently.

Earlier this year, the 5x WWE Raw Women’s Champion took shots at her former employer, while comparing roster quality between the WWE and NJPW. Mone also stated on social media about moving to Japan full-time and learning the local language to ease her stay in the country.

If that is the case, Trinity Fatu might have to wait a while before facing her BFF inside the squared circle.
