Johnson recently hit the news for his donations. Now, an actress and model have lauded the gesture, saying it will allow her to pay her rent.

The money was donated to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Relief Fund. The organization is backing the strike that has caused Hollywood to come to a standstill.

How much did Johnson’s aid help the actors?

The news of Johnson’s kind act broke earlier this week. He is said to have made the donation after receiving a letter from Courtney B. Vance, president of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. According to reports, The Great One was among the 2,700 people who received the letter from Vance.

Responding to the call, the 51-year-old donated an undisclosed seven-figure amount. While the figure of his charity remains concealed, the amount that a beneficiary will receive has been made public. Not by the Hollywood star, but by someone who has been helped by Johnson’s donation.

Actress Meggan Anderson, 38, took to Twitter to thank The Rock for his kindness. She said that she’ll receive a $750 grant from the foundation. “…all of which will be going directly to rent,” she said.

“Thank you @TheRock! Keep up being a good human and a great creative. An example for us all.✊🏻🎭,” part of her tweet read.

The 38-year-old is one among the thousands who are currently involved in the strike and among the 7,000 to 10,000 who will benefit from Johnson’s aid.

Reacting to the tweet, he said it brings back memories, before adding that he’ll help. “Got your back, brother. I’ll help. You got this. I’ll be in touch,” part of his tweet read.

There are many other examples where Johnson has helped people. He once helped a struggling WWE wrestler after being unhappy with the promotion’s treatment of the former superstar. It is really nice to see a person of Johnson’s stature remaining humble even after all his successes. Fans would hope that he remains unchanged forever.
