The hottest party of the summer just got more heated up with the wide rumor of an expected return of the former WWE Champion. SummerSlam 2023 is already shaping up to be a massive event with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and others. But since the speculation of Bray Wyatt’s return hit the floor, it got fans excited like anything. They have been more intrigued to get Wyatt back as his fiery alter ego, ‘The Fiend.’
Wyatt, 36, who used to enjoy immense popularity within WWE Universe, saw a sudden decline in his status after a series of poor bookings and drastically reduced in-ring appearances. He had only wrestled one televised match since returning at Extreme Rules in October 2022. While currently, he’s reportedly dealing with an injury, multiple reports suggested that WWE’s gearing up to bring him back this August at SummerSlam. But then, as per the latest report, we got to know he’s still not medically cleared to take up in-ring action. The news instantly left his elated fans feeling rather disappointed.

The former Universal Champion was supposed to fight Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, but their match didn’t end up happening. Despite the missed battle, Bray Wyatt was still spotted in Los Angeles, enjoying the show. However, he did not make any comments about his backing out.
WWE made a lot of changes to his WrestleMania booking since the beginning and it finally culminated in his total absence from the card. In fact, before pitting him against Lashley, WWE had plans to put him in a match against Brock Lesnar. However, the Beast Incarnate nixed that idea later.
Although Wyatt’s WrestleMania absence drummed up an array of reasons. The most highlighted one among all was his undisclosed health issues.
Bray Wyatt got fired from WWE back in 2021. It has been known that he had some friction with McMahon, but The Eater of Worlds still made his return next year. After a lot of issues and low activities, it seemed like fans finally gave up on the idea of him being back in his glory again. The latest update added to their fears and they seem to have enough of it.
Fans seem furious over Bray Wyatt’s latest update
After inquiring with a WWE higher-up, Fightful Select noted Wyatt remains on the sidelines as he’s still awaiting clearance. The report further suggested that WWE didn’t make any creative plan for him because of the uncertainty of the rerun.
