“There Was So Much Blood”: Gal Gadot’s 6-Word Statement After Cutting Her Toe on Sets Made Her Dwayne Johnson’s ‘Hero’ While Filming Red Notice in 2020

Dwayne Johnson has had a famous career in Hollywood. Although he underwent a period of struggle during his early days in Hollywood, he would overcome them to become one of the highest-paid actors. Johnson’s film with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds in 2021, ‘Red Notice’ was one of the most watched films, and was extremely liked by both fans and critics alike. The film was filled with high-paced actions and several fight sequences. However, there was one scene that made Johnson declare Gadot as his hero.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight a few years ago, the 50-year-old would reveal what made him idolize Gadot and see her as his hero. Both Johnson and Gadot are action heroes and are known for their portrayal of fearless and tough characters.

Gal Gadot, best known for her portrayal as Wonder Woman in the DCEU films, is one of the most popular female action stars. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Johnson would reveal the reason behind his seeing her as his hero.

They revealed that while shooting a specific scene of Gadot kicking a handcuff, she would injure her toe and start bleeding. She said, “I was bleeding. I almost died. You know the part when I’m kicking the handcuffs? Then I cut my toe. I just went all for it.”

Johnson would reply back with how grave the situation was, and even how EMTs were needed. He said, “She goes, ‘I ain’t got time to bleed,’ and then we just kept shooting. It’s like, holy sh*t. She’s my hero!” Gadot explained that they did not have time for stopping the shoot, and the show should go on.

The Red Notice was released in 2021 and had a star-studded cast of Gadot, Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds. It was the first time, the three came together, and fans were delighted at the result. Johnson is next scheduled to appear alongside Chris Evans in ‘Red One’ later this year.
