“The Rock Saw This & Stopped Wrestling”: Sasha Banks Gets Destroyed Online for Comparing Herself With Dwayne Johnson

Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Mone is one of the most talented in-ring performers of all time. She made her name as one of the top female superstars on the WWE roster. However, she would be removed from the division after she, alongside Naomi, walked out of the company.

Banks and Naomi would walk out of WWE over creative disputes. Earlier this year, she debuted in Japan and won the IWGP Women’s Championship by defeating Kairi. She is currently active in the Japanese wrestling sector.

Banks recently took to her social media handle to repost a video of her and compared herself to one of the legends of the wrestling industry. The video is a press conference between Kairi and Banks, and Banks would sing a song to roast Kairi. While the original video compared her to Dean Ambrose, she would repost it weighing herself up with The Great One, The Rock.

This comparison enraged the fans and provoked them to attack her online.

Dwayne Johnson is one of the greatest names in the wrestling world. While Sasha Banks is not a newcomer, she is yet to reach the fanbase level of The Rock.

It was a classic heel move from Banks’ aka Mone’s side to generate heel heat and momentum. No sooner would she do the comparison than fans would crowd her social media handle and start bashing her.

It was rumored for a long time that The Rock would return prior to WrestleMania 39 and have a match against Roman Reigns. However, things did not go according to the plans, and Reigns instead defeated Rhodes to defend his Undisputed Universal title.

While Banks’ return was also rumored for a long time, she instead chose to end her contract with WWE, and move to Japan to try her hand at a different company. She is currently one of the top heels in NJPW, and has been providing her fans with amazing matches.

It would be long before Banks returns to WWE, however, her fans are still hopeful that they might witness The Legit Boss returning home to WWE.
