During the discussion on the podcast, Kurt Angle recounted a series of events that unfolded in the wake of severe injury. The decorated wrestler returned to action after spending a month recuperating at home, only to face another setback. In a match, he suffered not just one, but three critical muscle injuries- his hamstring, groin, and abdominal muscles all in a single bout.
Recalling the incident, he spoke, “I showed up early at the writers meeting I walked into the meeting room and uh the people the writers were behind me and Vince was in front of me in the desk in front of the room and I walked in I put my pants up took my pants down all the way down to my ankles all you could see is my balls and everything completely nude and uh”
“If they’re black it’s black my legs black all the way down to my foot Vince was like oh my God I guess you’re not wrestling tonight I said no I’m not Vince and we need to have a meeting and that’s when I quit,” he added.
Undeterred by the excruciating pain, Angle showed up for the next day’s television taping and three subsequent house shows. Kurt Angle cruised to Vince McMahon’s office and explained to him the details of his injuries.
Angle further revealed the scenario was even more frustrating because Vince McMahon didn’t return his calls.
Angle deciphered that Vince McMahon was ignoring him for a long time. McMahon ignoring him made him even angrier and he would leave threatening messages to McMahon. Nevertheless, the pair are now on good terms with the wrestler enjoying a fruitful stint in WWE before his retirement. Nevertheless, Angle also admitted that McMahon would work for WWE till he stops breathing.

During an appearance on the Cafe de Rene podcast, Kurt Angle reiterated his thoughts about Vince McMahon. The legendary wrestler also claimed that McMahon would work for the wrestling promotion until his last breath.

Angle claimed that McMahon couldn’t have truly retired and will continue to have a presence behind the scenes. He emphasized that McMahon’s attachment to the company is so strong that he will hold on to it until his hands are no longer warm, indicating that he will only let go when he passes away.
Over the course of time, Angle has openly spoken about his relationship with the promoter. He has been his boss and is also a driving force of the company. Their relationship consisted of good and bad times but ultimately it was a fruitful and enriching experience for both parties.
