Adam Copeland (Edge) broke many hearts when he had his final match in WWE. Shortly after, he joined AEW. However, he still hasn’t forgotten his days at the Stamford-based company. The wrestler recently remembered his days from WWE and his time as a part of the Judgment Day. Through a retrospective lens, Edge was shedding light on his thought process during his early days in the faction.

Before returning to WWE again in 2020, Edge planned that he would be doing things completely different than what fans have loved him for all these years. The promotion tried to enable this request but had some pretty wild ideas for the same. In a recent interview, he revealed how he could not find a common ground with WWE.

The WWE legend recently showed up in an interview with Notsam Wrestling. While talking to the host on the podcast, Copeland revealed that he wanted to alter everything about his previous character in the promotion. This is why he also completely changed his appearance. However, when he was being made the leader of Judgment Day, WWE experimented with a few entrances that he didn’t like.

Edge confessed how this one time, he was introduced to the idea of standing with a pitchfork in front of a bubbling cauldron, most probably introduced for an entrance. And then another week, the promotion made Judgment Day float as part of their gimmick.

At one point it was talked about a cauldron with bubbling black fluid and I’m holding a pitchfork. I was like, ‘Woahh… I don’t want to do that because that’s not going to work,’” recalled Edge during the interview. He further added, “There was one week. They wanted us to float to the ring. ‘What?’ ‘No, we’ll put it on a dolly.’ Then, I’m sitting on a throne and Priest is full core engaged because he’s basically surfing holding onto this thing, and all I felt going as we’re going down was ‘This is Spinal Tap. This is Spinal Tap,’

Although he founded the faction, the members of the Judgment Day quickly turned on their leader and kicked him out the group. Even four months after his exit from WWE, Edge has not forgotten about the betrayal.
