Lu Fisto worked with AEW for a pretty brief period. She made her debut in the promotion on April 6th, 2022. The event was the 68th AEW: Dark Elevation. Although there were speculations and rumors about the French wrestler signing a six-match contract, she didn’t come back to the promotion for another match. Now, after more than a year, the reason behind the issue seems to be more clear than it was back then.

When Fisto took to Twitter, she added fuel to the already burning fire about AEW’s women’s division. However, Fisto took a deeper dive into the issue and let the public know what goes on behind the curtains. While she didn’t mention AEW by name but her tweet comes after a fan sign during AEW Dynamite match between Britt Baker and Taya Valkyrie read “Book The Women’s Division Better.”

The wrestler tweeted, “It’s cute how people blame booking for a bad women’s division. Talent with too much power; talent denigrating each other; talent trash-talking potential employees so they never get in as soon as they walk in… It starts here. – The one you called FN French Canadian a*shole

She also replied to a fan and said that “she saw things happen” and spoke with other women wrestlers “who experienced the same issue”.

The Man has never worked for Tony Khan’s promotion. However, on a number of occasions, she was asked about her opinions on the same. One time, when talking to Ariel Helwani, she denounced AEW as a ‘competition’. On another occasion, she used a similar implication while talking about their women’s division. This happened when she appeared in an episode of ‘Drew Garabo Live’.

In the 2022 interview, when asked about her thoughts on AEW’s women’s division, ‘Big Time Becks’ confessed, “They don’t get as much time as we get. And frankly, they’re not as good as we are.” She also went on to claim that WWE has the ‘best’ women’s division in the whole world. Even though in a different implication, it looks like she wasn’t wrong about not favoring AEW’s female division of wrestling.
