Friday night’s SmackDown started with a bang with the contract signing for Crown Jewel’s main event. Just as Roman Reigns was coming out, LA Knight came out as well and walked straight to the ring. Not only that, but Knight overtook Reigns to the ring and took his ‘rightful’ seat at the head of the table for the signing.

Knight irked Reigns further by calling him something he had said almost 8 years ago.

The Tribal Chief doesn’t like being shown any kind of disrespect. But that’s exactly what Knight did tonight by going and sitting straight at the head of the table, which is generally Reigns’ position.

An obviously infuriated Reigns went on to call Knight an “idiot”. He even mocked him by asking Knight if he had ever been to a contract signing before.

Knight then retaliated by bringing up Reigns’ infamous promo with Seth Rollins, where he unironically used the phrase “sufferin’ succotash”, rendering both Rollins and fans clueless. “While you were busy doing suffering succotash, I’ve been over here running around telling everybody whose game it is, because there can be only one WWE Champion,” Knight said, seemingly winning the brief battle of words.

This made Reigns mad with anger who proceeded to flip the table and attack Knight. Reigns then went out and threw a table inside the ring to inflict more damage upon Knight.

But Knight was up on his feet and started attacking Reigns. Then as always, Jimmy Uso popped out of nowhere and started thrashing Knight.

In the meantime, The Tribal Chief slid out. And while moving out, he gave marching orders to his deputy Jimmy Uso to destroy LA Knight.

But Knight had something totally different on his mind. Just as Uso turned back to face him, Knight carried him and put him right through the table. This made the fans in Fiserv Forum go crazy. This was also a warning message to Roman Reigns for what awaits him at Crown Jewel. But what are your views on LA Knight using a term coined by Roman Reigns himself to insult him?
