Special Thank You Sent to WWE Talents for Their Tireless Contributions to Bray Wyatt’s Tribute Episode on SmackDown

24th August 2023 is going to go down as one of the saddest days in pro wrestling history as WWE’s most beloved superstar, Bray Wyatt, passed away that day. He died after suffering a major heart attack. Fans from around the world were shocked as they had to wake up to this sorrowful news which left them devastated.

The entire WWE Universe was eagerly waiting to see what Triple H and co would do on the following SmackDown episode that would celebrate Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk’s legacy, and the wrestling promotion didn’t disappoint the fans.

The entire SmackDown episode was a wonderful tribute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk

Fans were just recovering from the death of Hall of Famer Terry Funk when they were hit by the news of Bray Wyatt’s demise. It was very comforting to see WWE superstars and legends alike put out their heartfelt condolences, remembering Wyatt’s contribution to the WWE.

Everyone on social media was suggesting that the WWE should do an ultimate tribute in honor of Wyatt. Hence, the entire wrestling world had their eyes glued on last night’s SmackDown.

It started with commentator Adam Cole paying a wonderful homage to both Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt, with the entire SmackDown roster lined up below the Jumbotron. Even Wyatt’s fellow teammates, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan, were present during that special segment. Rowan was released from the WWE in 2020 following the budget cuts along with Bray Wyatt, who was later recalled in 2022.

After that, the traditional WWE 10 Bell Salute was given, bidding both these exceptional superstars a final goodbye. This was followed by a video montage of Bray Wyatt’s entire career. Fans got very emotional as they started singing his song as well, remembering Wyatt.

The matches between wrestlers also paid tribute to the late superstars. From Rey Mysterio wearing a black armband with both the superstars’ initials to Cody Rhodes and LA Knight coming out and giving emotional speeches praising Terry Funk and Bray Wyatt.

Fans couldn’t thank the WWE management enough for holding themselves together and putting up such an emotional show.

It was an emotional day for all pro wrestling fans. #BrayWyatt was trending on Twitter the entire day. Condolences kept pouring in from fans from around the world. But fans also took time to thank the WWE for giving a fitting tribute to Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk.

A fan commended Michael Cole for being so calm during the tribute.

One fan pointed out that the WWE actually gave equal importance to both the superstars. He said, “u know with all the Bray Wyatt stuff we forget Terry Funk also died, and for them to put this together in a short time is remarkable and simple tribute is rewarding imv”.

Fans showed up with signs to pay their final respect to Bray Wyatt.
