“Sorry but It’s Kinda Annoying”: Fans Up in Arms as Rhea Ripley Receives Bad News in the Form of Her Next Challenger

In the go-home edition of Raw, Judgement Day went through the various names of superstars who have been victimized by their dominance. During the segment, Raquel Rodriguez made her way to ringside to confront Rhea Ripley, who gravely injured Liv Morgan last week. The duo went to blows before Dominik Mysterio distracted Rodriguez, allowing Ripley to blindside Rodriguez. Sadly, Rodriquez ended up facing the same fate as Liv Morgan.  

Backstage, while an injured Raquel Rodriguez was receiving medical help, Adam Pearce relayed to her that he would allow a match between her and Ripley after she recovers from her injury. The WWE Universe is now upset that the match is not taking place at SummerSlam. 

Raquel Rodriguez may challenge Rhea Ripley at Payback for the Women’s World Championship

Rhea Ripley has been targeting Raquel Rodriguez for a while now. Their scuffle on Raw portends a feud between the two powerhouses. The 26-year-old has been ruling the women’s division on Raw with an iron fist. Not only is the Australian powerhouse a formidable obstacle for women but also for men. However, former Women’s Tag Team champion Raquel Rodriguez undeniably matches Ripley’s ferocity. In fact, the Latina powerhouse is bigger than the Women’s World Champion in terms of size. 

After Ripley attacked Rodriguez’s knee on Raw, it is evident that the latter would be on the shelf for a while. In addition, WWE teased a title match between the duo during Ridriguez’s backstage segment. We should note that their match was widely speculated to take place at SummerSlam. However, the match card for the show is already pretty much stacked. 

And so, it is very likely that the duo will have to wait until the Payback PLE, which is scheduled for September. The WWE Universe is already upset about the fact that the women’s division is underrepresented at the Biggest Party of the Summer. The show has only two matches from the women’s division.

Nonetheless, fans are growing increasingly frustrated with WWE’s booking. 

Not everybody’s thrilled about Rhea Ripley’s next challenge

Although Raquel Rodriguez has been in the crosshairs of Rhea Ripley for a while, the duo’s rivalry has not quite developed enough to become a full-fledged storyline. The fact that Ripley has injured both Morgan and Rodriguez adds more depth to her rivalry with Rodriguez. 

Hence, WWE is taking its time with its rivalry. And what better place to allow Rodriguez to settle her score with Ripley than Payback? Even though the championship match between the two powerhouses would be monumental, fans are upset that it did not happen sooner.

In all fairness, Rhea Ripley has engaged in scuffles with male talents lately rather than women.

Well, Rhea Ripley last defended her Championship at NXT. But, the Women’s World Title hasn’t been contested at a PLE since the Night of Champions.

While some fans are revolting against Rhea Ripley for not defending her Championship enough, others are looking forward to the Payback event. Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see how soon Rodriguez recovers from her knee injury.
