Cody Rhodes is one of the most charismatic superstars in WWE today. The 2nd generation star, who is having a dream run ever since his comeback to WWE, has looked chic and classy every step of the way. But sometimes even that isn’t enough to please people around.
Now, in an explosive interview, Rhodes relieved the burden on his shoulder by defending himself against wrestlers from the Attitude Era. He specifically called out people who had problems with him wearing suits during his stint in AEW.

Rhodes, after changing several characters over the years, finally found his groove as the American Nightmare. As part of his gimmick, he wears suits while cutting promos.
However, it looks like that rubbed off people in AEW in the wrong way as it made them uncomfortable, interestingly not for the first time.
In an interview with SI Media hosted by Jimmy Triana from Sports Illustrated, he went off on people who had problems with his way of dressing.
He quoted: “They just can’t wrap their head around the suit. Like why? You’re supposed to be a Babyface. Why are you in the suit? The moment that suit started making people uncomfortable, it’s all I ever wanted to wear.”
He further continued: “If this makes you uncomfortable, something’s wrong with you. I feel good. I wanna show up here and be the best dressed and present myself in the most classy way I possibly can. How does it affect you?”

While the rant might surprise some people, it’s really astonishing to see professionals at AEW have such strong opinions against Rhodes for a miscellaneous event.
Also, if Rhodes himself feels comfortable, there is no need for others to look into it. However, this isn’t the only thing Rhodes went off on.
The rant takes off to a new tangent
Apart from AEW, the former Intercontinental Champion gave his powerful perspective on the wrestlers from the Attitude Era and previous generations as well.
Rhodes went on about how their existence was only to talk about what’s wrong with the current WWE product.
While he mentioned he doesn’t begrudge them, he continued by saying: “it’s a weird stance to take when we’re doing record business.”

Considering wrestlers from different eras support their own eras, Rhodes has every right to defend his own, since wrestling is an art that evolves with time.
