“Someone at PWI Has an Beef With Someone in Family”: Cody Rhodes’ Sister Vehemently Raises ‘Ugly’ Objection as Seth Rollins Tops PWI 500 List

Several fans believe that Cody Rhodes has given a commendable performance in 2023 so far. However, when it came to giving him his due credit for the same, Rhodes’ family believed that he was mistreated. Just an hour ago, The American Nightmare’s sister took to Twitter to lash out at a media house for ignoring Rhodes on their list of top 500 wrestlers in 2023.

The global list comes under Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Every year, the PWI 500 list comes out. As always the list always gets fans and experts divided And it appears that Rhodes’ sister is on no different.

PWI ignored Cody Rhodes’ efforts in 2023?

Teil Rhodes looked at the list as it came out. However, it didn’t satisfy her. This was particularly because her brother was sitting at the bottom of the shortlist. While the list is 500 names long, the top 10 is usually what matters. In that cut-short version of the list, Rhodes is at number 10 globally. While the stats may appear satisfying to some, Teil called out PWI for their treatment of his brother.

The first tweet she put out said, “By every metric [Cody Rhodes] is the biggest attraction in wrestling. That list is fan fic baby.” With this, she called the list to be nothing more than ‘fan fiction’. Teil is confident that her brother should have topped the list with by metric possible. The metrics that they use include: win-loss record, championships won, quality of competition, major feuds, prominence within a wrestler’s promotion(s), and overall wrestling ability.

Moreover, she even name-dropped the media house and tweeted, “Someone at PWI has an beef with someone in family and It’s really ugly on their end. So that’s why I care. They are lucky certain people take the high road cause it’s cancelable.” Her ultimate claim says that PWI has a personal beef with the Rhodes family. According to Teil, she is taking the ‘high road’ here by not ‘canceling’ the magazine for this disrespect.

For now, Seth Rollins sits atop the list at number one. This is also not his first time enjoying this position on PWI 500. In fact, Rollins has received the number one spot the most times out of any wrestler on the PWI list.

Rhodes had quite an accomplished year in WWE. He returned to win the Royal Rumble in January and then headlined WrestleMania 39, albeit in a losing effort. After that, he had a three-match rivalry with Brock Lesnar which ended at SummerSlam last month, with Cody Rhodes coming out on top.
