“…It’s so hard saying goodbye, but being able to see you again in Feb was the highlight of my year ❤️ I miss you & I love you with all my heart,” part of Ripley’s tweet read.

The post received several comments from industry insiders and fans.

Legendary wrestler Lex Luger had a three-emoji message for the superstar.

Her Judgement Day teammate Damian Priest sent her hearts.

Several others, including journalist Ryan Satin and former WWE personality Renee Paquette, also joined them in condoling the loss.

Meanwhile, AEW star and Ripley’s partner Buddy Matthews sent her words of encouragement in these testing times for the WWE superstar.

Commenting beneath Ripley’s post on Instagram, Matthews said, “She was beyond proud of you! Her sassy-ness will live on through you forever!”

Ripley also paid tribute to her deceased grandmother on a recent episode of WWE SmackDown. She had the word NONNA written on her left cheek.

Damian Priest “legit got a little emotional” as Ripley beat Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest have been friends since their NXT days. The two superstars are now part of the same stable alongside Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio, as they continue to wage a feud with Rey Mysterio and whoever comes to help the WWE Hall of Famer.

Speaking to Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast, Priest revealed he got a little emotional seeing the Australian pro-wrestler win the title against the 14x World Champion.

Priest also hailed Ripley for her grit and determination. “She’s been through a lot, being away from her home and her family. A lot of us sacrifice but not to that level. Her family is literally on the other side of the planet and goes years without seeing them,” the 40-year-old said.

Ripley proved her tough character outside the ring as hours after losing her grandmother, the 26-year-old appeared on Friday’s episode of SmackDown.
