In a recent interview, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson joined Joel Madden for a candid discussion, touching on family, overcoming loss, and the essence of success. Johnson stated, “I always tell younger people that the best part about success is the ethic behind it. The work ethic behind it, like that’s the stuff that will never go away.” He emphasized the fact that shiny things do not matter much.
The Rock being known as humble and kind towards others also states how he is grateful for all the shiny or materialistic things. However added, “What I mean, but it’s not, you realize once you get a little older like the sh*t that really matters is the stuff that’s just in front of you.” Hence he wanted the younger generation to focus on the most important things.
But what are these crucial things as per The Great One? “At that time, like kids and family, and you know what I mean, and your desire, or your willingness to work,” said Dwayne Johnson.
Talking about success he also highlighted the importance of taking failure on the road to success a few months back.

Dwayne Johnson has returned to WWE and became a super heel by siding with Roman Reigns. He had given an interview on Fox News in January when he returned. The question asked was about why people who have changed their careers or want to not meet Johnson’s level of success.

“Successes are always the ones that are the most loudest, and they are the ones that get magnified. No one really talks about the losses, but you have to take the hits in the way that I have over the years. I always like to say that it’s the times that I failed is the thing that really started to create this chip on my shoulder that has allowed me to drive for success,” claimed Johnson.
He further highlights that success comes from a mix of personal ambition, hard work, and being around people with similar goals.
