Dwayne Johnson has been a part of multiple partnerships, but nothing beats his entrance into the world of apparel. He partnered with Under Armour to release ‘Project Rock.’ After seven years of success, his ex-wife decided to enter the apparel world with her line of products as well.

The Rock and Dany Garcia married in 1997 and divorced in 2007. Despite going their own way in their personal life, Garcia is his global strategic advisor. Now, with her clothing line coming out, she is following in The Rock’s footsteps.

Danny Garcia started her clothing line called GSTQ, which stands for God Save The Queen. Along with the clothing line, she is also the co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions. She is also the first female owner of a major U.S. professional sports league, the XFL. With GSTQ, she wanted to solve an issue she had been facing.

According to her, as a bodybuilder and a professional working woman, she wanted clothes she could work in all day. Garcia believes the market is untouched, and the potential to explore is massive. After working with major brands and building them up from the ground, she is now applying it to her own brand. She took to social media, and on the brand’s page, she posted a caption highlighting, “All crafted to capture your undeniable presence.”

According to Garcia, the idea for her brand started as one of the oldest ideas she has ever had. The name came during her band rehearsal when she was 16. During music class, she saw sheet music of the British Royal Anthem. The name read “God Save the Queen,” which inspired her.

According to Garcia, the brand aims to build confidence in people who wear it. With diverse body types in mind, this clothing line is for people’s diverse lifestyles. The brand ensures comfort and a blend of luxury and streetwear. This aligns with The Rock’s clothing, mainly for sports and casual. 

The success of Dwayne Johnson’s partnership with Under Armour 

The Rock, a massive bodybuilding fan, wanted something that could cover all his overall fitness apparel needs. In 2016, he teamed up with the fitness company Under Armour and released ‘Project Rock.’ The first item released by the partnership was a gym bag that sold out within a few days of release. This proved that the market was ready for The Rock’s new venture.

Moving forward was a simple black t-shirt for both fitness and casual wear. The t-shirt featured his signature and was sold out before WrestleMania 32. Following the success of the first two products, their app received over a million downloads within its first week. Since then, the company has released headphones, sneakers, and more under this banner.
