Seth Rollins has been the undisputed WWE Heavyweight Champion for over 150 days now. During this time, he has defended multiple foes, such as the notorious Shinsuke Nakamura and Drew McIntyre. While he defeated Nakamura in a last-man-standing match at the WWE Fastlane in October, he defeated Drew McIntyre at the recent Crown Jewel on Saturday.

The two stars put up a great fight with McIntyre almost on the verge of winning. But Seth Rollins came out as the victor and survived The Scottish Psycopath’s rampage. As he is still tending to his battle scars, another threat might be looming over him.

WWE took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news of Seth Rollins still retaining his title as the WWE Heavyweight Champion. While fans are still commending him for standing against McIntyre with an injured back, a star from New Japan Pro Wrestling seems to be interested in Seth Rollins. Will Ospreay is in the news now for having multiple 5-star matches at the Japanese promotion. There are also rumors that he might be a free agent in the early months of 2024.

Dave Meltzer pointed out a few weeks ago that WWE has plans to revive NXT UK under the new name of NXT Europe. He also added that Ospreay will be the center of the brand and the story will revolve around him. But with the tease made by The Aerial Assassin, it looks like he might be on his way to move to the United States and be a part of the red brand.

But if the 30-year-old star is making his move to WWE, when could the fans expect to see him in the ring?

When will Will Ospreay become a part of WWE?

Speculations are high that Ospreay might become a part of the WWE roster. Meltzer had said that if Ospreay is willing to move to the United States, his value would increase exponentially. If WWE plans to include him as a part of NXT Europe, there won’t be much competition from any major promotions. But if Ospreay moves to the States, AEW might jump in to try to get a deal with him. This increases the stakes for both promotions. Apart from that, Ospreay’s contract with NJPW is set to expire by February 2024.

The Stanford-based promotion does not have much time to secure him. Apart from that, there might not be any new contenders for Seth Rollins, as Damian Priest’s briefcase is now missing. Everybody is now clueless as to where the briefcase is after Sami Zayn ran away with it. So there might not be any potential challenge from Priest. Along with that, if Ospreay does move to WWE, he might challenge Rollins for his belt either at Elimination Chamber which is set to be held at the end of February 2024, or WrestleMania 40, which will be in the early days of April 2024.
